We spent a long weekend in Texas, and when we got back late on Monday night, we discovered that our front porch was gone.
Other than briefly wondering how we’d get into the house (didn’t think our key worked in the back door – it was a pleasant surprise to discover that it did), we were elated! The contractors made nice progress while we were gone. The back porch is just about finished, and our old kitchen floor was almost completely removed.
Today we did even better. A visit from the plumber in the morning to swap out leaky drain traps means our kitchen sink is once again operational, and the central air guys came by briefly before lunch. I’m not entirely sure what they did, other than turn on the fan, but that’s a start!
Now, if I could just figure out how to turn the fan off again.
